Alissa Bernstein Sideman at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference in San Diego, CA, July 31-August 1, 2022:

  • Challenges and approaches when addressing dementia in the context of chronic comorbid conditions in primary care settings: a qualitative study. Poster with colleagues.
  • A Stakeholder-Engaged Process to Design and Implement a Dementia Diagnosis Toolkit in Primary Care Settings. Poster with colleagues.
  • The Care Ecosystem: The Effectiveness and Implementation of Telephone-Based Collaborative Dementia Care. Poster with colleagues.
  • A qualitative study of older refugees’ perception and attitudes towards dementia and dementia risk reduction during the COVID-19 pandemic. HFS with colleagues.

Alissa Bernstein Sideman presented a poster for “Perceptions of and Knowledge about Healthy and Unhealthy Brain Health and Aging among Latin American Immigrants” (authored with Light SW and Wolf MS). This was a Travel Award Recipient at the Dallas Aging and Cognition Conference, Dallas, TX, 2022.

Joanne Spetz: Panelist on the webinar for California GROWS Initiative with the California Department on Aging September.

Laura Wagner: Invited speaker and panel member at the Re-envisioning Elder Care Conference hosted by Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Programs at Florida State and Nova Southeastern Universities on September 9, 2022.

Laura Wagner: Organized and led a workshop August 22-24 at Hartnell College as part of a HRSA Grant “FirstGenRN – Rural Eldercare Advancement Program (FirstGenRN-REAP).” Over 45 Hartnell students and faculty attended the workshop, which focused on training in rural health, social determinants of health, elder care, and financial management.
